Letting My Feelings Go.

Boooooo, no one cares about this game anymore. I hate to be blunt for this game, but it’s true. This will be a game between two underperforming teams, who shot well below their designated mark set earlier this year. The Niners were in the freaking Super Bowl last year. The Super Bowl. And now they can’t even make the playoffs. Because they had some injuries? Like the rest of the league? Cry me a river, you played like garbage all year. Don’t even get me started on your lack of offense, and I don’t even want to hear about Christian McCaffrey being out. They have an endless stream of good running backs in San Francisco. The real annoying thing about this team, is they have the 6th best defense and 5th best offense in the ENTIRE LEAGUE. But you can’t make the playoffs. Right, that makes total sense. Oh, you’ve had so much success over the years, but this year it just all falls apart because a couple injuries. No way. This team either needs to be slightly reworked, or they just really fell short in every aspect, every game. Disappointing to say the least, especially with that pedigree of success.

I’m even more annoyed at the Cardinals. Every year, I have to hear about how good Kyler Murray is and how poised this team is to make a run into the playoffs. Insert incorrect buzzer noise. Wrong again. Murray was underwhelming again this year. In his last six games, he has only 5 TDs and 8 INTs. It’s frustrating, because the potential is there, but you can’t keep banking on the potential of your QB if he has yet to consistently reach that level of play. They have talent all over the field too. Budda Baker, Trey McBride, James Conner, Marvin Harrison Jr., Kyzir White, etc. Despite this talent, they just can’t finish games. Murray can’t finish games, their defense can’t close out, and they have been unable to find that winning formula. Like the Niners, this team will be figuring some things out next season, because this season was not what they had hoped for. I think the Cardinals take this because Purdy is out, but say it with me, “it’s a toss-up!”
